In Nebraska, the only clinics providing abortion services at this time are CARE Clinic in Bellevue, NE and Planned Parenthood in Omaha, NE.

Eligibility Criteria

1.) You are a Nebraskan with an appointment at a clinic in Nebraska or in another state.

2.) You are traveling to Nebraska for an appointment from a state with abortion bans or restrictions.

You’ll want to have your appointment scheduled before you call.

Call the Chicago Abortion Fund Helpline at (312) 663-0338.

The helpline is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. CST.

If we can’t answer immediately, leave a voice message and we will return your call within 24-36 hours.

Our partners at the Chicago Abortion Fund answer the calls for NEAR and other states in the region, allowing the NEAR team to focus on supporting our community on the ground.

At NEAR, we understand that accessing abortion care often comes with unexpected costs. We’re here to help ease those burdens. Our support can cover:

Procedure Costs – Helping pay for part of the cost of your abortion.

Travel Expenses – Assistance with flights, gas, or other travel needs.

Lodging – Covering overnight stays when travel is required.

Transportation – Rides to and from your clinic appointment.

Food Expenses – Providing meal support while you seek care.

Childcare Costs – Assistance with childcare during your appointment.

Medication Costs – Help with costs for necessary medications.

We also work closely with a network of partner organizations who may be able to provide additional assistance. If your needs go beyond what NEAR can cover, we will help coordinate with our partners to ensure you get the support you need.
